  • Apples: You will all have heard the proverb “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”, and there is a reason behind that. Apples are a very good source of fiber, which lowers blood cholesterol,  increases good (HDL) and reduces bad (LDL). Their bark also contains quercetin, a very powerful antioxidant that has antihistamine and anti-inflammatory properties, which means that it is able to protect you from cardiovascular disease, chronic inflammation, and even help prevent cancer (if consumed regularly ). In short, frequent consumption of apples helps maintain a strong and healthy body.
  • Banana: By far the most common fruit in the field of bodybuilding, as it is used very often as part of the post-workout meal, as well as in protein shakes, as it has a high caloric value (90-130 calories) compared to other fruits.
